Richard's First Dance - Jan. 2011

Here's Richard ready to go to his first dance, which was the Winter Ball at Lewis Middle School. He let Camille give him tips on his hair and clothes, and went off to the dance with confidence. Later I went over to help chaperone the last half of the dance and he was having a great time, hanging out and dancing with different groups of kids. He later told me he had a following of 7th graders who wanted him to hang out and dance with them, as well as his friends from band.

Madelyn's 8th Birthday

Swimming Pool Sandwiches

Caitlyn and Madelyn had a great time swimming into the night after we arrived in Battle Ground, Washington on Monday night, June 27th. Near the end they decided to make themselves into sandwich filling for the pink floatie tubes.

Christmas Eve Party 2010

We enjoyed Christmas Eve 2010 at Dan's parents home in SLO, with them and Mike and Brenda's family. We had a delicious dinner and then the traditional program, which Brenda put together this year. The children acted out the Nativity as Grandpa read from Luke 2, Dan sang "Joseph" with Camille playing her flute and me at the piano, carols were sung, and of course, "Santa" came while Mike happened to be downstairs. The traditional nylon stockings he brought were filled with fun wrappred presents for all, including new aprons sewn by Grandma for the girls. The cousins got along great together and even had a sleep-over one night.
