Camille's Mission Call Arrives!
On Wednesday, January 22nd, Camille opened her mission call with roommates and friends at her apartment in Wymount Terrace at BYU Provo. We watched from home via Skype. She was called to serve in the Texas Houston East Spanish Speaking Mission, reporting on June 11, 2014 to the Mexico City MTC. She was excited and pleased with the call, and we were, too. Dan had guessed that she'd be called to that mission, along with one other person. She had invited people to guess on her Facebook page. Dan went to Dallas Texas Spanish, his mom Darlene went to Texas Spanish speaking in her 20s, and my grandmother Genevieve Whetten went to Texas Corpus Christi back in the 80s as a senior missionary.
Camille is doing a great job preparing to be a missionary. She is currently enrolled in Sharing the Gospel at BYU, getting her new quad so she can mark it with missionary scriptures for discussions, and getting her temple recommend (today!). She scheduled her endowment at the Los Angeles Temple for next Saturday, February 8th. She'll fly down to meet me, Dan and his mom Darlene for the session at 1 p.m., then fly back later that evening. I'm so happy for her and can't wait to see her then!
