Caitlyn's Big Day

Here are more photos of Caitlyn's big day. In the bottom photo, she is sitting in the old circus-type tent on the blow-up mattress, dirty from playing hard at the beach and roasting marshmallows on the fire. She was happy to be with Dad but also happy Mom showed up kind of by surprise to bring the air pump. (it was a daddy daughter campout).

In the next photo up, Caitlyn is rock climbing. She is quite the climber! Here she is on Saturday, with more energy left to put on the harness and go at it! This is the climbing wall Dan built on the side of our house, which the city tried to require us to get a permit for. They have left us alone for now, even though we got a permit to build inside the playroom above the living room.

Next photo up, shows how we tried to decorate a cake like one in the decorating book but ended up using flags and red hots with a letter C in the middle, instead of fancy icing shapes all over. (All my saved decorating frosting was too old to use). Caitlyn made the chocolate cake mix up into the cake, and she and Madelyn loved licking the batter!

Finally at top, we see Richard, Madelyn, Caitlyn and Austin in front of the Rabobank wagon in the parking lot of the Dragon Palace restaurant. I think it looked better with the Mid-State Bank name on it. (Camille missed most of Caitlyn's adventures because she was babysitting Friday night and had a multi-stake beach activity Saturday night, but she planned ahead and gave Caitlyn her gift early: a collection of young girlie nail polish and lip gloss!) We are so happy to have Caitlyn in our family!
