This was a first--she was so tired after her birthday dinner at Dragon Palace chinese buffet that she fell asleep on the sofa before we could sing and eat cake. So we woke her up and she barely went through the motions of it all. It must be the teenager thing. She did have a fun birthday with friends at the lake (while I was with Richard in Rhode Island).
