Cookie Decorating: Mice & Men
Here are the mice in the final stages before the plate assembly of the treats. We went caroling for the first time in a few years (the kids ask to go every year). Camille chose the song from an Osmond Christmas CD, a version of "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" that had two parts going at the same time. We enjoyed the caroling, but most people were not home or answered the door after we had finished. It was good practice for next year and we had fun.
The next step was to begin making the mice--chocolate covered maraschino cherries on an oreo base with a hershey's kiss for a nose, etc. Dan researched them on the web (he got the idea from a staff member who gave him one), then set to work with the boys. I was so impressed!
After a busy day of baking cookies, we started decorating that evening when Dan could help. Here he is recycling the sprinkles--way to go!

Danny looks so young in those pictures. The mice are adorable. I'll have to remember that for next year.
