The Sessions Family Moves to Utah

Monica & Nancy

Regan, Madelyn, Caitlyn, Carson, Mikalya, Lindsey, and Preston

We are sad to have lost another family who have been great friends and neighbors--the Sessions family: Aaron, Monica, Carson, Regan, and Preston. They lived right across the street from us from about June 2008 until January 2010. Monica and I served in the primary presidency together almost the entire time, walked together, carpooled, visited almost daily, and our kids spent a lot of time at each others' homes. Madelyn was nicknamed "Debbie" by Aaron and thought she was just part of their family, as is her nature. Preston said often that he would marry Madelyn. Caitlyn and Carson, along with a neighbor Mikayla, were in some kind of Pokemon world together. Madelyn loved playing barbies with Regan, and they all had some great pretend games going along. Not long after they moved in my mother passed away, and they were there for me to talk to, and then Monica's mom was diagnosed not long after that with cancer, and passed away in early fall. Monica never spoke an unkind word and was so patient and easygoing. The best time I had with Monica was driving down to Pismo Outlets to do some quick shopping for church clothes, and she helped me pick out some things at the Dress Barn, and then bought me the most amazing cookie at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. It was Turtle Cookie, and had chocolate, caramel, and nuts all mixed together like a turtle chocolate. It was amazing! Aaron was an amazing photographer and video editor, and he did everything with great skill and perfection. I have several collections of his work for the performing arts club as well as Caitlyn's baptism day. The economic troubles affected Aaron's job stability at the bank he worked at so he found a job in Utah at ZCMI bank in SLC. We hope to see them in April when we go up for conference and to ski. I will surely remember them and miss them!
